About Me
I offer personalized astrological consultations designed to help you gain clarity, insight, and confidence as you navigate the important moments of your life. Using a combination of natal chart analysis, planetary transits, progressions, and other advanced timing techniques, I provide a deeper understanding of the cycles and patterns that shape your personal and professional journey.
Whether you are seeking guidance on career transitions, relationship developments, creative endeavors, financial planning, or personal growth, each consultation is tailored to your unique circumstances and goals. We will explore both the broader themes influencing your life and the specific timing of key opportunities and challenges, enabling you to make decisions with greater awareness and purpose.
My approach blends technical precision with compassionate guidance. I interpret the symbolic language of astrology in a way that is accessible, practical, and meaningful, empowering you to align your choices with the natural rhythms of your life. By uncovering the deeper context behind current events and future trends, you gain the perspective needed to act with confidence, patience, and intention.
Sessions are conducted in a confidential, supportive environment and may be booked as a one-time consultation for a specific question or as an ongoing advisory relationship for continuous insight. This work is ideal for individuals seeking to understand the "why" and "when" behind life’s events, so they can move forward with clarity and purpose.
Astrology captured my imagination many (many) years ago while in college. I picked up an out-of-print book in a used bookstore. A simple read, with a paper template for building a chart, I was immediately hooked.
It became a pastime while working and raising my family. I would collect books and study and do charts of family and friends for practice. Then somewhere around my second Saturn return, I discovered Kepler College in Seattle, offering a liberal arts degree program based on the study of astrology through history and culture. I immediately signed up for their MA program and spent every waking hour outside of my day job, working through their exhaustive program, traveling back and forth to Seattle for symposium every term, and loving every minute of it.
I was lucky to catch that short-lived window of opportunity. And I count many of the best astrologers in our community as my mentors.
What I am:
I am a practicing consulting astrologer, and an author. I am available for consulting, teaching, lectures, and media. My book, The Jupiter Advantage, has been out since 2020.
What I am not:
I am not trained as a psychologist. While I am able to point out patterning suggested in a chart that resonates with my clients, I do not proffer psychological advice or counseling.
And I am not a spiritual guru. Astrology's ability to interpret celestial patterning does suggest that there is meaningful resonance in the way the universe operates, but fully understanding what that actually looks like, as a science, is beyond the capabilities of human understanding. I don't presume to have answers. I am interested in the musings of history's great philosophers and religious traditions, but I do not subscribe to any particular ideology.
I am currently the president of the Aquarian Organization of Astrologers (AOA-KC) in Kansas City.
I am also a project manager for the Alexandria iBase library project. AIP's purpose is to preserve astrology's intellectual heritage and make it accessible to everyone in the global astrological community.
